The training is comprised of two modules.

Module one ‘Basic Risk Assessment’ concentrates on understanding the basic principles of risk assessment and answers the questions;

What is a health and safety risk assessment?
Why we carry out risk assessments?
What are the key terms used?

Module two ‘Completing a Workplace Health and Safety Risk Assessment’ concentrates on how to complete a risk assessment using the Trust's Health and Safety Risk Assessment form and so implements the theory spoken about in module one, covering subjects such as;

Identifying and evaluating the risks to people’s health or safety
Applying measures to improve people’s health or safety
Recording and storing the health and safety risk assessment
